Abstract :
Currently the development of Escherichia coli bacterial resistance to antibiotics is still a serious problem. The aim of this study was to find out the sensitivity of Escherichia coli as the cause of colibacillosis in chickens against antibiotics Amoxicillin, Enrofloxacin, Tetracycline, Ciprofloxacin, dan Erythromycin. The sample used in this study was isolated from feces of intensive broiler chicken farms in the village of Srikaton, Kecamatan Ringinrejo, Kabupaten Kediri East Java. Based on the result study concluded that the Escherichia coli isolates as the cause of colibacillosis in broiler chickens in the village of Srikaton showed 100% resistant to erithromycin. Escherichia coli isolates as the cause of colibacillosis in broiler chickens in the village of Srikaton showed 80 % resistant, 0 % intermediate and 20 % sensitive to enrofloxacine and ciprofloxacine. Escherichia coli isolates as the cause of colibacillosis in broiler chickens in the village of Srikaton showed 20 % sensitive, 20% intermediate and 60 % resistant to tetracycline. While sensitivity test against Amoxicillin showed that Escherichia coli isolates as the cause of colibacillosis in broiler chickens in the village of Srikaton were 90 % sensitive, 10% intermediate and 0 % resistant.
