Abstract :

The softskills is skill beyond technical skill and academic who prefer the intrapersonal  and interpersonal skill. The purposeof this research was to make  a development strategic  of soft skills on doctor and nurses in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency unit Karangasem Hospital Bali. This was  a descriptive explanatif study  with cross sectional design in February- March  2011  on doctors, nurses, her supervisors and  patients. The  instrument used in this research were questionnaires and guides of Focus  Group Discussion (FGD). The results  of this research was the level of softskills  at the doctor  and nurse  in the Inpatient,  Outpatient, and Emergency Unit of Hospital Karangasem are in good category. However, the Outpatient  doctor  have two softskills  with worst category is organized and tactical. Patient’s expectations was greater than 360-degree assessment to the doctor’s and nurse’s softskills. Softskills development strategy performed on the softskills  that are on the main priorities in the activities of quadrant-shaped out of the box and group  dynamics. The advice can be given  that is done out of box activities are combined with group  dynamics to improve  the softskills in tactical and organized in the outpatient doctor.
