Abstract :
ABSTRACT The controvertion about migration or human dissemination’s footstep at Indonesia is very interesting to discuss because Anthropology and Archeology findings refers to Indonesian people’s diversity. Many research had been done to answer and prove that diversity, one is research from genetic variation at one population. Bali is a island that located at the middle of Indonesia’s cluster of islands, most likely mixing among population going on there, especially at coastal area. The purpose of this research is to see how the genetic variation at 2 archeological site in Bali which located at coastal area, namely Semawang site, Sanur, and Gilimanuk site, Jembrana, Bali. Based on Short Tandem Repeats (STR) locus, combined DNA Index System (CODIS) namely “CTT” locus, CSF1PO locus, TP0X locus, and TH01 locus. This research sample used 6 samples of preshistoric man skeleton, those are 3 prehistoric skeleton from Semawang site and 3 prehistoric skeleton from Gilimanuk site. Research’s method use PCR examination consisting of several step those are collecting the object checkup, take the samples, DNA isolation, PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) process, electrophoresis, data analysis and take conclusion. Checking up the STR held at ITD (Institute of Tropical Disease) human genetic laboratory. The result of this research based on the analysis of visualization CTT locus, inter samples at Semawang site and Gilimanuk site concluding that the samples came from the different population and analysis inter both sites conclude that the two population from each site came from the different population. It is concluded furthermore that Bali had been experienced the mixing from various comers population.
