Amalgam containing fluoride prevents secondary caries

      Abstract :

      One of the weaknesses of conventional amalgam as restorative material is secondary caries. The effort to remedy this situation is by adding powder fluoride because it has antibacterial effect. Amalgam containing fluoride is a conventional amalgam material added SnF2. Its antibacterial effect is multiple because it is produced by olygodinamic from the metal element within amalgam and fluoride from SnF2.
