Abstract :
Dental private practice is a business unit that delivers products and services. As a business unit dental private practice should do communication to their customer, what they can do for their client, however the regulation of promotion activity in the dental private practice was very strict and not allowing communicating the potential skills or technology behind the dentist. Selling concept did no longer exist in the global competition era, especially in dentistry. The new paradigm believe that marketing concept is the newest strategic concept that brings fresh and innovative problem solving in dental private practice. Marketing is a set of activity that brings the customer’s characteristics, needs and preferences into the process of delivering product and services that makes customer’s satisfaction. Promotion is just a little part of marketing strategy. The key of success of dental private practice as a business unit were optimizing marketing the tactics: product, place, price and promotion based on the research of segmentation, targeting and positioning.
