Author :

      Abstract :

Treatment by overdenture instead of preserving alveolar bone could improve the aesthetic and masticatory functions. The use of magnetic attachments in this construction was done to retain overdenture, and they could be used effectively on endodontically treated roots. The construction of this overdenture was open palate and immediate inserted. The subject of this case was 45 years old woman with central diastema. She was not satisfied with her maxillary and mandibular partial dentures, so she needed more comfortable denture enhancing her facial aesthetic and functional performance. The solutions were immediate magnetic overdenture with magnetic retentions on 13 and 21 for maxilla and metal frame denture for mandible, which all resulted in more comfort and satisfaction on facial aesthetic, mastication function, retention and stability.
