Abstract :
The protein with 67 k Da molecular weight has been extracted from specific Streptococcus mutants from Indonesia (local S.m. 1(c)). In laboratory test, this protein has been proved imunogenic. This research would prove this imunogenicity on New Zealand white rabbit with rising Ig G antibody checked. The control group was not treated but the rabbit blood was taken on zero week and 8th week. The blood of the treatment group was taken the on zero week until 8th week. The blood was tested by using ELISA test conjugated with the goat anti rabbit Ig G. The Ig G antibody titer of this rabbit reached the peak 1/240.000. Thus, the protein was very imunogenic and would be proposed to be immunoprophylaxis material to prevent dental caries with further proper experiments.
