Abstract :

The objective of this research was the surface hardness of the visible light-cured composite resin using different thickness of celluloid strip. The six samples of each group of light-cured composite resin were cured with celluloid strip thickness of 0.001 mm, 0.002 mm, and 0.005mm. Surface hardness were measured by Micro Vickers Hardness Tester. The data achieved were analyzed statistically using one way Anova and Tukey-HSD and showed significant differences among them. The result suggested that the thickness of celluloid strip decreased the surface hardness of the visible light-cured composite resin. The group of samples using the 0.001 mm thickness of celluloid strip was found to have the highest surface hardness.
