The utilization of chemically defined medium for studyng bacterial metabolism physiology

Author :

      Abstract :

Chemically defined medium (CDM) is a medium in which all constituents are quantitatively known. The pupose of this article was introduce the utilization of CDM for growing bacteria in order to investigate their physiological an metabolic characteristic. The amino acids in the CDM, which many of them were utilized, and the other were not utilized at all. The capacity of Fusobacterium nucleatum isolated from different sources revealed a dissimilar fashion in utilizing amino acids as an emergy source. The behavior of F. nucleatum grown in the different CDM showed no identical amino acids uptake profiles. Nore over, the metabolic enc-products were varied as well.
