Abstract :
This research aimed to analyze the effectiveness of cohesive intervention program to deal with conflict between employee’s age cohort in Company X. In this case, senior and junior conflict. This study used action research with cohesiveness intervention program that would tested the effectiveness of this program. This test used sociogram as a pre-test and post test. In pre-test sociogram, junior employees selected junior employee too than selected senior employee. On the other hand, senior employees selected junior employee as a partner in works than senior employees coequal. There were 2 stages, namely cohesiveness training for 2 days and intensive work for 1 month. This research has 40 participants (20 senior employees and 20 junior employees) who represented each division and age cohort. The result of this research showed that there was enhancement mix fluidity between senior and junior employee. The junior employees who selected senior partner increased from 25% to 36.4%. Meanwhile senior employees who prefered junior partner increased from 62.5% to 70%. Although the enhancement not too significant but this program increased the cohesiveness between junior and senior employees in Company X.
