Abstract :

The aim of this study was to know the effect of Crescentia cujete L leaf extract on Pasteurella multocida growth. The method used in the study was disc diffusion with 12 treatments and 3 replications. Twelve treatments were consist of NaCl 0.85% as negative control, Crescentia cujete L leaf extract with various of concentrations started 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 100% and Tetracycline 30g as positive control. The result of this study showed that Crescentia cujete L leaf extract could inhibit the growth of Pasteurella multocida with various values of zone diameters. The value of zone diameter with respectively 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90% and 100% were 10.26; 10.67; 16.23; 16.23; 16.71; 20.67; 21.70; 22.73; 24.15 and 26.13 with scale in millimeters. Tetracycline 30g showed result 28.13 mm and NaCl 0.85% showed result 6.67 mm. By statistical analyzed result showed that 100% concentrations not significance difference with tetracycline 30g as positive control.
