Abstract :
The objective of this study was to know impact of food advertising to food pattern and nutritional status of under five child in village area. The study was carried out in two types of villages, near and far from kecamatan city. Fivety families having 4-59 months old children were selected as sample in each area. Mother was as respondents. Data was collected by interviewing respondent using questionares and measure anthropometry (weight/age) of samples. The study showed that the most anfluence and interesting of advertising was advertising that give information with many organoleptic and practically (for mother object) and advertising that use the star of models (for children object). There were correlations advertising with food nutrition knowledge and choose food capability (difficulty degree), but there weren’t correlation advertising with food pattern and nutritional status of under five child. It is expected that government and the producers of child food will give true and honest information in advertising their product.
