Community behavior in health care utilization in dental and oral health center dental clinic i tabanan

Abstract :

The average number of visits of Dental Polyclinic of Tabanan I Community Health Center, from the year 2004 to 2007 is 36,7% so did not achieve the target. The purpose of this research is to develop recommendation to increase revenue of Dental Polyclinic of Tabanan I Community Health Center based on consumer behavior analysis. The sample of this study was 95 people in Sudimara and Gubug village that taken with purposive sampling method. The recommendations to increase number of visit of Dental Polyclinic of Tabanan I Community Health Center are: Do advocation to policy maker about Perda Kabupaten Tabanan No. 1 tahun 1999 to make the rate of teeth bracelet installation and teeth manufacturing fabrication being included into the new state rule; Do the routine collective examination by mobile; Increase the routine visit to school at least twice a year; Commit the dental and oral polyclinic promotion with school, Posyandu, and Adat Banjar group; Organize a training with the health care staff (dentist, dentist assistant, locket, officer, and pharamaccists) about the proper communication methods; Prepare the uniform especially for doctor and dentist to use white coat; Repare the malfunction dental equipments and summit proposal for dental equipments to District Health Departement of Tabanan; Organize the health care room; Do the composite dental filling; Propose for the establishment of cleaning staff to District Health Departement of Tabanan; Provide reading material in patient waiting room. //
