The effect of sulfaquuinoxaline on the feed consumption and egg production in the lochman brown layer

Abstract :

One hundred and eighty laying hen 7 to 8 month of age were divided in to 4 groups. Each groups consist 15 hen. The first group did not get any sulfaquinoxaline in its drinking water. The second group got 0,0424 gram/hen/day of sulfaquinoxaline. The third group got 0.0848 gram/hen/day and the fourth group got 0,696 gram/hen/day. All of the treatment were carried out as long as 8 days. Each group of treatment then divided in 3 groups, which consisted of 15 hen each and the later groups the feed consumption/ hen/day and egg production of the first group were measured one day before treatment, the second group were measured 5 days after, and the third group were 10 days after. The result showed that sulfaquinoxaline significantly decrease the feed consumption and egg production (P
