Efektifitas hormon prostaglandin f2α (pgf2α) dan hormon gonadotropin terhadap gambaran ovarium dankadar progesteron tikus putih (rattus norvegicus) dalam teknik sinkronisasi birahi dan superovulasi

Abstract :

The aim of this study was to prove that PGF2α hormone injection on white rat (Rattus norvegicus) is effective for application of estrous synchronization and gonadotropin hormone injection to white rat is effective for application of superovulation. The design study was Completely Randomized Design. The data were analyzed with Analysis of Variance followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. Treatment procedur was divided into 3 treatment groups and six replications, i.e. P0 control: injected with 0,5 ml aquabides intraperitoneally; P1:  injected with 3 µg/kg BW PGF2α hormone intraperitoneally; P2: injected with combination of pregnant mare’s serum gonadoptropin and human chorionic gonadotropin (PMSG-hCG) hormone intraperitoneally thereafter mated to male rats during 5 days. PMSG dose is 150 IU/kg BW and hCG dose is 75 IU/kg BW. The result showed the amount of corpus rubrum are P0 2,33±0,82 %, P1 5,00±2,28 %, and P2 3,83±0,98 %. P1 significantly higher than P0 (P<0,05). The amount of corpus luteum was P0 10,17±1,72 %, P1 13,00±4,33 %, and P2 13,83±1,94 %. There was no significant difference between the treatment (P>0,05). The blood serum progesterone level were P0 34,99±24,90 %, P1 18,75±11,47 %, and P2 55,42±10,05 %. P2 significantly higher than P1 (p<0,05). PGF2α injection on white rat at a dose of 3 µg/kg BW creates ovulation. This injection is effective for application of estrus sychronization. Gonadotropin hormone injection at a dose of 150 IU PMSG and 75 IU hCG on white rat creates ovulation but this injection is not effective for superovulation application.
