Abstract :

The aim of this research is to compare the response of Gonadotropin and Prostaglandin F2α (PGF2α) to conception rate and Litter size of mice. This method used 18 female mice and 6 male mice and divided into two treatments. Nine mice were injected with combination of Pregnant Mare Serum Gonadotropin (PMSG) and Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) as Gonadotropin hormone and 9 mice were injected with PGF2α then mated with males. The results of research showed conception rate 100% from 18 mice. The results of litter size showed 60 mice with an average of 6.67 for the first treatment and 55 mice with an average of 6.11 for the second treatment. In conclusion, there was no different response between injection of Gonadotropin and PGF2α to conception rate and litter size of mice.
