Abstract :

Averrhoa bilimbi L. (Oxalidaceae), commonly known as bilimbi, belongs to the family of the Oxalidaceae. It is widely cultivated in the tropics region. It bears a great significance in traditional medicine. The aimed of this work was to investigate the sitotoxic potency of  A. bilimbi leaves extract on T47D (breast cancer), WiDr (Colon cancer), and HeLa (Servick cancer) cells line by using MTT assay.The result showed the ethanol extract of Averrhoa bilimbi L. only active on T47D cancer cell line with IC50  was 805.05 ± 4.37 µg/ml.
