Abstract :
Autism is a pervasive disorder that most often found in children and experience significant increase in recent years. Etiology of autism is not certain. Many factors influence the occurrence of autism in children. Genetic factors, environment, nutrition and a number of biomedical aspects were also involved, including vitamin and mineral deficiency, increased oxidative stress, disruption in the process of sulfation and detoxification of heavy metals and toxic materials from the body and brain. Glutathione is the major peptide required for oxidative stress process. In children with autism found that low glutathione levels resulting in increased oxidative stress in children with autism. It can cause symptoms or may even exacerbate existing symptoms in children with autism. This is needed for comprehensive treatment, including diet and nutrition.
