Abstract :
Exposure to excessive thyroid hormone (TH) of the tissue may lead to thyrotoxicosis, which denotes clinical, physiological, and biochemical findings. Graves’ disease is a complex autoimmune disorders characterized byhyperthyroidism, a particular opthalmopathy, and prefibial myxedema. Thyroid Storm or Thyroid Crisis is a sudden,life-threatening exacerbation of thyrotoxicosis, however, it may happen in patients who are not previously diagnosedwith thyrotoxicosis. Diagnostic criteria for non classical thyroid storm by using Burch-Wartofsky Score (BW-Score) isfeasible in practical daily practice. Whereas for classical thyroid storm, the Formula G/O: P- 39.5 – 120 may be used.Formula TS 41668-24-6 can be used as a practical guideline for specific measures of thyroid storm and for evaluationof its therapeutic clinical outcomes. To prevent the occurrence of adrenal gland dysfunction due to corticosteroidadministration, Formula CS 7.1.5 may be used as a “rule” for the timing of corticosteroid injection.
