Abstract :
Smoking behavior on adolescence still becomes a problem. It caused by less knowledge, negative attitude, low social norm, parent-teacher influences, and peer’s support. The purpose of this study was to analyze factors which correlate with male student’s smoking behavior at SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya. This study was used analytic descriptive design, with cross sectional approach. Samples were 116 respondent. Independent variables were knowledge, attitude, norm, policy, commitment, parent-teacher influences, and peer’s support. Dependent variable was smoking behavior. Datas were collected from questionnaires and then analyzed using spearman rho with α≤0,05. The result showed that there was a correlation between norm (p=0.000), attitude (p=0.001), parent’s smoking behavior (0.000), teacher’s smoking behavior (p=0.000), peer’s smoking behavior (p=0.000) and male student’s smoking behavior. While, knowledge and commitment have no correlation. It can be concluded that low social norm, negative attitude, parent-teacher-peer’s smoking behavior had correlated with male student’s smoking bahavior.
