Critically discuss and evaluate the beneficial values and harmful effects of fish consumption

Abstract :

There was a various habit on fish consumption among nations over the world. Based on data of fish intake shows that fish consumption is significantly lower that meat consumption whether in developing countries or wealthy developed countries. Historical issues and established research on the benefits of fish consumption to human health will be discussed. Claims on the benefits of eating fish, opposed contrary statement with recent finding then revealed not just to counter previous health benefits argument but also to provide holistic overview and whole picture of fish consumption effects. The emerging worries about chemical contamination such as methyl mercury and Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) points out to provide a balanced consideration. Overall, this essay attempts to widen perspectives regarding fish consumption, whether it is harmful or beneficial.
