Abstract :
Koi’s culture has been done to fulfill the market need that disposed to raise. One of constrain in koi’s culture is disease. One of the disease that common to attack koi is dactylogyriasis caused by helminth from Dactylogyrus genus. This helminth has the hook to attach in gill so it cause the wound and change the gill histopathology. The aim of this research is to know the histopatological change in koi’s gill caused by Dactylogyrus helminth infestation with different degree of infestation. Research method using survey method. Infestation degree determining done by calculate the amount of parasite in gill that is light degree infestation if found 1-5 parasite, moderate if found 6-50 parasite and severe if found 51-100 parasite. Histopathological damage data analyze use scoring and continue with statistical analyze use Kruskal-wallis. Prominent parameter is degree of gill damage caused by Dactylogyrus infestation and supporting parameter include temperature, pH and dissolved oxygen (DO). Sample taken from two fish pond about 2x3m in measure with 1000 population. Sample taken about 5% population so the amount of sample are 100 fish. According from determining degree of infestation from 100 sample get the result that light degree of infestation is 14 fish, moderate is 67 fish, severe is 9 fish and normal is 10 fish. Gill histopatological analyze showed the damage include hemorrhage (H), inflammatory cell infiltration (IR), hyperplasia (HP) and lamellar fusion (FL). Scoring result showed the damage in each of degree infestation have an average 1,2; 2,52 and 3,48. According to Kruskal-wallis analyze in each of degree of infestation get the significant result (p<0,05) that showed the difference in each of degree of infestation. Need the further research to identify the Dactylogyrus species that common attack koi.
