Abstract :

Common carp is one that has potential of fisheries resources in the fulfillment of people's nutrition, especially animal protein. However, common carp also have problems  in dealing with disease control  in aquaculture ponds. One of parasitic disease  in  fish  is  ichthyophthiriosis. One alternative  treatment  ichthyophthiriosis  that  do  not  produce  chemicals  residues  is  by  using  the plant bilimbi (Averrhoa bilimbi). Formulation of  the problem  for  this study  is whether bilimbi  juice  leaves can be used as an antiparasitic I.multifilis and what  is the best concentration of bilimbi  juice  leaves to decrease amount  of  I.multifilis  that  infest  on  common  carp.  This  study  aims  to  determine  the  using  of bilimbi  juice  leaves as antiparasitic I. multifilis and know the best concentration of bilimbi  juice leaves  to decrease amount of I. multifilis that  infest on common carp. The method of  this study was experimental by  the experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The concentration of bilimbi juice leaves used is 1%, 2%, 3%, 4% and  0%.  Data  obtained  from  the  treatment  trials  were  analyzed  using  Analysis  of  Varian (ANAVA)  and  if  there  is  a  real  difference  then  proceed  using Duncan's multiple  range  test  to detect a difference between treatment with another treatment. The results showed that bilimbi juice leaves can be used as an antiparasitic I. multifilis in common  carp  and  the  best  concentration  of  bilimbi  juice  leaves  to  decrease  amount  of  I. multifilis  that  infest on common carp contained  in  treatment D with concentration bilimbi  juice leaves as much 4% decrease parasite become 6,125 parasite.
