Abstract :
This study aims to determine the effect of solution concentration of rice bran on Brachionus plicatilis populations. The research method used was experimentally with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with six treatments and four replications. The treatments used were: rice bran 21 ppm solution of Chlorella sp. (A), rice bran 41 ppm solution of Chlorella sp. (B), rice bran 62.5 ppm solution of Chlorella sp. (C), rice bran 84 ppm solution of Chlorella sp. (D), rice bran solution of 104 ppm of Chlorella sp. (E), rice bran and 0 ppm solution of Chlorella sp. (F). The results showed that administration of rice bran solution concentration in a population of Brachionus plicatilis influence significantly different (p <0.05) in each treatment is the addition of rice bran solution to the population of Brachionus plicatilis with the highest population peak D contained in the treatment of individuals with a population of 41.1 x103 which occurred on the third day. The lowest peak found in the F treatment (control) with a population of 18.75 x103 individuals that occur on the fourth day. Water quality parameters are supporting this research. Supporting parameters measured during the study is the water temperature ranges between 26-29 ° C, pH 7-8, DO 4.0 to 4.2 mg / L, and ammonia from 0.006 to 0.27 mg / L. Water quality parameters are still within tolerance limits for the population of Brachionus plicatilis.
