Abstract :

Water is a very important element in life that have a lot of good functions for daily activities or fishing activities. The availability of clean water is a necessary condition for the achievement of all human activities. Practice is held at the Village Field Driyorejo, District Driyorejo, Gresik regency, East Java province on 31 January-25 February 2011. Working methods used in this Field Internship is descriptive method of data collection included primary data and secondary data. Data collection was done by the active participation, observation, interviews, and literature. The purpose of the Field Work Practice (PKL) is to, learn, understand and implement the direct method and processing techniques in order to increase the polluted waters of experience, knowledge and insights and to determine the factors and constraints that affect pollution and contaminated water treatment process . Source water obtained from the river Mas is located in the south of PT. Miwon Indonesia Driyorejo using water pumps. Measurable water quality of the river is 8.3 pH, hardness (konsentrasiCa) 60.6 ppm, the concentration of Cl 53.9ppm, 454.3mmchos/cm conductivity, turbidity 493.2 NTU. The process of processing starting from capture polluted waters of river water is then performed in sandfilter filtering. Then do the cleaning in the clarifier tank that will fit on the pond to clean water. Kualitasair measured after the water treatment process tercemara dalah pH 7.9, hardness (konsentrasiCa) 42.9ppm, 44.9ppm Cl concentration, power hantar400mmchos/cm, turbidity of 1.8 NTU. Problems that are often encountered is the erratic nature so often high fluctuations to changes in water quality were observed each day or month.
