Abstract :

The Tubifex sp culture experiment was conducted to observe optimum water flow rate by using different combination of chicken manure and pond soil to obtained maximum production of Tubifex sp culture. The experiment comprised two step are preliminary research and main research. Tubifex sp was cultured in plastic pools of 38x28x12 cm using water flow rate on the main research were 300ml/minute, 375 ml/minute, 450 ml/minute, and 525 ml/minute. Stocking rate was 1 individual Tubifex sp per 1 cm2. The result indicated that water flow rate 525 ml/minute have high population Tubifex sp with an average density of 7 individuals per cm2.
