Abstract :

Zoothamniosis is one of the Windu Shrimph (Penaeus monodon Fab.) diseases that caused by Zoothamnium penaei (cilliate). The diseases can the shrimp death a specially on the sheed when heavy infection. The diseases is often attackly the shrimph on the pound with the low oxide.The aims of this research is to knows the relationship between the disoulb oxide value with the Zoothamniosis insidency in the pound at the coastal in the North of East Java.The 30 th Windus shrimp were 1 – 1,5 month ages and the sample waters gets from many pound at Tuban, Lamongan, Gresik, Sidoarjo, Pasuruan, Probolinggo, Besuki, Situbondo and Banyuwangi Regentcy. This samples were observed at the Entomology and Protozoology Laboratory Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Airlangga University.The result showed that the ranges of the disoulb oxide value in the pound at the coastal in North of East Java werw 2,4 – 6,7 ppm. While the range of the Zoothamniosis insidency were 51,6 – 72,9 % so higher the disoulb oxide value in the pound, so lower the Zoothamniosis insidency.
