Abstract :

Problem in community ecology efien require the inferring of species-environment relationship from composition data an associated habitat measurement. A new multivariate analysis technique. Called Cononical Correspondence Analysis, developed to related community composition to variation in the environment. This technique is extension of Correspondence Analysis. This is extended by imposing the extra restriction that the axes be linear combinations of environmental variables. Howewer, the inclusion of extra restriction result in lost of some information. This research is aimed to study the effect of the inclusion of extra restriction. The lost of some information is measured by R2 from Procrustes Amalysis. Two illustrative examples are provided an discussed.
