Abstract :

The aim of this study is to find the difference of TGF-E2 level in fresh amnion membrane and preserved amnion membrane usingcryopreservation method. This study used one group pretest-posttest design and statistical analysis was performed using WilcoxonSigned-Rank test if the samples had no normal distribution with level of significance ofD= 0.05. Eleven samples of amnion membranewere used to measure active TGF-E2 level before and after preservation using cryopreservation method, and 13 samples of amnionmembrane were used to measure total TGF-E2 level before and after preservation using cryopreservation method. TGF-E2 level infresh amnion membrane was higher than that in amnion membrane preserved using cryopreservation method. There is no significantreduction of TGF-E2 level in amnion membrane preserved using cryopreservation method.
