Abstract :

This study aimed to determine whether there is a relationship between perceived Transformational Leadership and Employees’ Productive Behavior. The research was carried out to solve problems that occurred at the company, especially companies that have troubles with productivity. A transformational leader is considered as the appropriate leader and a model whom able to continuously improve efficiency, productivity, and innovation in order to improve the competitiveness of enterprises (Hariyanti, 2011). Employee productivity can be measured through employees’ productive behavior. According to Fendy Suhariadi (2001) measurement of the productive behavior can be referred to two models of behavior, i.e. effective productive behavior and efficient productive behavior.Type of the research is explanatory quantitative research, as it aims to explain the relationship between the research variables through hypothesis testing. The independent variable used in this study is transformational leadership on women leaders (X), with effective productive behavior (Y1) and efficient productive behavior (Y2) as dependent variables. Questionnaires are used as data collecting instrument. The population in this study is employees of PT.BPR Taman Dhana. Total sample technique is used as the sampling technique, in which the total population is also acted as the research sample (Bungin, 2001), with total of 32 respondents participating. Pearson's correlation analysis using SPSS version 16.0 for Windows is used to analyze the research data. From the analyzed data, significance level of 0.001 and 0.000 was obtained. This means the Ha is received, which indicates the relationship between variables X, Y1 and Y2 in this study. The magnitude of the correlation is 0.563 for the correlation between transformational leadership (X) and productive behavior effectively (Y1) with 0.621 for the correlation between transformational leadership on women leaders (X) and efficient productive behavior (Y2). The correlation coefficient is positive, which means the higher transformational leadership behavior, the higher productive employees will be.
