Abstract :
The experiment was designed to identify amino acid sequence of E2 protein Hepetitis C Virus 1c subtipe, a unique Indonesian subtype, using Long PCR and Sequencing method. In this study, we have isolated and amplified E2 of Hepatitis C Virus from serum of patient hepatoma. The result showed that E2 gene of Hepatitis C Virus 1c subtype has 1100 base pairs and E2 protein has 363 amino acids. Protein E2 amino acid of Hepatitis C Virus 1c subtype has homology 87% with protein E2 amino acids of hepatitis C Virus 1b subtype.
