Isolation and characterization of e protein of dengue virus surabaya isolat for diagnostic materials

      Abstract :

      The aims of this resarch was to isolate and characterizate E protein of Dengue virus Surabaya isolate in order as diagnostic material. This research was divided into three steps isolation, characterization and analysis of protein E was performed by western blot technique using rabbit anti Den-3 polyclonal antibody. Protein E from gel electrophoresis was then isolated by SDS-PAGE. The result showed that molecular weight of E protein of Dengue virus Surabaya isolate was 52 kDa and it was antigenic protein which reacted specifically to rabbit anti Den-3 polyclonal antibody. Based on this result it was therefore can be conluded that by using SDS-PAGE technique E protein virus Dengue Surabaya isolate was antigenic protein with molecular weight 52 kDa.
