Study of toxoplasmosis of the goat meat was sold in both traditional market and supermarket in surabaya city

      Abstract :

      The aim the research is observation of toxoplasmposis prevalence on goat meat was sold in both traditional and supermaket in Surabaya City.Samples were divided into two groups, where each group consist of equally 15 goat meat samples from both traditional and supermaket were analyzed of Toxoplasma cyst detected by Jacobs, et al. method (1960).The result shows tachyzoites form was found at the intraperitoneal fluid and cyst form at the cerebral of the mice. The prevalance of toxoplasmosis was 66,7% and 20% in traditional and supermarket, respectively. Chy-square analyzed show toxoplasmosis incidence in both traditional and supermarket was significantly different (X2 > X2 0,01)
