Abstract :

Work satisfaction of nurse is needed to be asses to improve the nursing service quality, motivation and work productivity. Research was conducted to identify and analyze the behavior determinant based on the WHO's theory related to job satisfaction of nurse in the inpatient room RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya. This research is analytical observational. Variables examined include the satisfaction of nurses, behavior determinant and the characteristics of nurses. Spearman correlation test was used. The results of research shows that 61% of nurses have an age group of 20-35 years, 82.9% nurses is women and 66.7% was graduate from D-III (AKPER / AKBID) and 75.6% have worked in the hospital during the period of < 5-15 years. Nurse job satisfaction level is 71.5% (satisfied). Behavior determinant of thoughts and feeling nurses in 75.6% and significantly associated with job satisfaction, where the correlation coefficient (p) = 0.297 (sig. = 0.001). Behavior determinant of personal references nurses in 78% and significantly associated with job satisfaction, where the correlation coefficient (p) = 0.263 (sig. = 0.003. Behavior determinant of resources 52% is considered good and significantly associated with job satisfaction, where the correlation coefficient (p ) = 0.251 (sig. = 0.005). Behavior determinant of culture 77,2% while considered good, but does not have any significant relationship with job satisfaction, with the correlation coefficient (p) = 0.143 (sig. = 0.115). Results of the research, it can be concluded that the dominant behavior determinant related job satisfaction is the thoughts and feeling.
