Abstract :

quality with parameter NOx in controlled landfill exceeded standard  and  in respondents’ living area was below  standard  (Peraturan  Gubernur  Jawa Timur No. 39 Tahun 2008). Estimation of well water quality using  parameter Chlorida (Cl) and Lead  (Pb) were  close to limitation of clean  water (Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan RI 416/Menkes/Per/ IX/1990). Estimation  of flies density on 3 living areas was still low (0–3 flies). Another estimation for 6 locations around controlled landfill indicated that one at low level (0–3 flies), two at medium level (3–5 flies) and three at high level (> 20 flies). Jombang district’s controlled landfill was good for medium and small city category based on to Adipura criteria in 2007.  The  controlled landfill had  basic, main,  control  and  support facilities,  pollution  prevention, trash  on  active zone, land arrangement, heaping and covering trash with soil. There were  people who had health complaint because of disease transmission.   Keywords: TPA management, air quality, water quality, vector,  and environment health
