Abstract : The aim of this study was to analyze the influence of PDAM water treatment and distribution (taken from Brantas river and Jubel gravitation water) on customer`s water quality in Mojokerto. This was a cross-sectional observational study. Collection data was conducted in April-August 2006. Sample size was 40, the number of sample in each group was 20. Data analysis were used Mann Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis. The result showed all of water samples taken from Jubel had good quality. Whereas, some water samples taken from Brantas had poor quality. All water treatment was done according to Standart Operating Prosedure. Water customers were vary, in Mojokerto Regency, 62.50% had good quality 37.50% had moderate quality; and in Mojokerto City, 43.75% had good quality, 31.25% had moderate quality and 25.00% had poor quality. It is concluded that there is no influence from water resource and water treatment on the quality of customer`s drinking water; but there is an influence from water distribution to the quality. It is recommended to add chlor in kilometers of 10 and 15. Provide early detector equipment for distribution pipe leakage as well as to use anti-leakage distribution pipe technology.
