Abstract :

Heat yielded during production process will disseminate to all work place, so that result the air temperature in work place also mount the hot environment measured with a few measurement such as dry temperature, wet temperature, ball temperature, speed of wind and air dampness. Merger from the measurements are referred as the climate work. In Indonesia, parameter used to assess the work climate is Wet Bulb Globe Temperature Index (WBGT). Problem question is " what will be climate portrait work and strive operation in shares produce the forge company becomes militant the Sidoarjo ?" Research target was identify the climate work, measuring work load and strive its operation in shares produce the forge company becoming militant the Sidoarjo. This research was observasional research with the environmental work place observation with measuring the climate work, work load and strive its operation. The target was shares produce, specially refining in forge factory. The data analysed descriptively. Climate measurement work conducted in four dot differences space refining i.e furnace, tendes, leadle and CCM. As for result of climate research work was dry temperature average in furnace 33ºC, tendes 31,9ºC, leadle 32,4ºC And CCM 34,8ºC. Wet temperature average in furnace 28,5ºC, tendes 28,6ºC, leadle 28,2ºC, CCM 29,1ºC. Bulb temperature average in furnace 35,9ºC, tendes 32,6ºC, leadle 36,6ºC, CCM 40,1ºC, Average of wind speed in furnace 0,1 - 3 m/sec, tendes 0,1 - 0,6 m/sec, tendes, leadle 0,4 - 1,8 m/sec and CCM 0,1 m/sec. Humidity in furnace 70,8 %, tendes 70,8 %, leadle 73,3 % and CCM 64,3 %. Wet Bulb Globe Temperature Index in furnace 30,7ºC, tendes 29,8ºC, leadle 30,7ºC and CCM 32,4ºC. Work load of all labour of equal to 721 Cal / hr. Strive its operation technically, administrative and use protection equipment. It is concluded that climate work by using parameter WBGT have exceeded the value float the boundary, work load pertained by a heavy work load and strive the operation technical, administrative and use protection equipment. It is suggested that the company better install the exhaust fan, perform the health inspection of early and Personal Protective Equipment given by continue, consistence and consequence.
