Abstract :

Silver Arowana fish the one commodity of fishery freshwater fish that  are growing rapidly especially in Yogyakarta special region. This species is one commodity that can be developed because it’s increase number of request from Silver Arowana fish hobbies. According above, the silver arowana fish seed demand are very high so it takes the right enlargement techniques to develop this commodity.               Field Work Practice have been implemented in Tani Mina Karya Koi Centre Group which located in the village of Bledangan, Brebah District, Sleman region, Yogyakarta special region Province. This event was began from 14 of January until 14 of February 2013. The aim of this field job practice is to know the Silver Arowana fish enlargement techniques and the factors that impede the passage of Silver Arowana fish enlargement business in Tani Mina Karya Koi Centre Group. The enlargement of Silver Arowana fish had been done using aquarium media and semi-concrete pools. The Source water used for Silver Arowana fish enlargement techniques in Mina Karya Silver Arowana Koi Centre obtained was from PDAM to aquarium media and yellow river for semi concrete pool media. Silver Arowana fish seed are raised 1.5 months old and measures 8 cm. Silver Arowana fish woof is given to maintenance of blood type worms, hongkong caterpillars and tilapia pieces. Harvesting had been done by the total harvest way but before it, the fish must  fasted for one day. In the harvesting event of fish are stocked in the third aquarium reaches Survival Rate (SR) 96% with 144 total tail. The constraint affect of Silver Arowana fish process are less size large of aquarium media and the entry of water from Kuning river into the semi-concrete pools without water deposition process. The consumer demand has so diverse, therefore harvesting could not be ascertained in each cycle.
