Abstract :
Analysis of Vegetation Island Sempu conducted to determine the current condition of the biodiversity existing vegetation in the area of CAPS. Associated with the management of protected areas, it is necessary to CAPS biodiversity monitoring. The methods used in data collection is an analytical method of vegetation with terraced path method. Samples were taken at three ecosystems that exist in this conservation area is a lowland tropical forest, coastal forest and mangrove forests. The results of the study on three of these ecosystems get a number of different species of vegetation. In the coastal forest ecosystems has been found 20 species of plants and three species nails and orchids. The Chinese banyan (Ficus retusa) dominate this ecosystem. In the lowland tropical forest ecosystems obtained a larger amount, namely 77 plant species and four species nails and orchids. Trees in these ecosystems do not show significant dominance, but Monkey jack tree (Artocarpus elasticus) has the highest Important Value Index (IVI) in the tree category. In ecosystem mangrove, recorded only eight true mangrove species and four species nails and orchids. Species of mangroves (Rhizophora apiculata) dominates in the group of trees. In the coastal forest ecosystems found a herbaceous plant that is Chromolaena odorata (Copasanda) which an invasive species. In the lowland tropical forest ecosystems, species found Myristica teysmannii recorded endemic status and the status of the plant is labeled critical for the existence of this plant, besides the plants included in the Red List of Endangered IUCN, 2012.
