Abstract :

ABSTRACT Patient of chronic kidney disease with hemodialysis teraphy has a high malnutrition rate that caused by low intake of consumption. This low intake can be caused of gastrointestinal disturbtion such as queasy and vomit feeling and also psychosocial and hemodialysis intervention that can effect the patient’s nutritional status. The aim of this study was to analyze the difference of consumption intake and nutritional status between adequate and inadequate hemodialysis patients. This comparison observational study was done in Gambiran Hospital, Kediri, East Java. Data was collected by cross sectional method with sixteen adequate and sixteen inadequat hemodialysis patients. The data of hemodialysis adequate (URR) with laboratoryum test, energy and protein intake, bassal metabolic index, and albumin serum level also collected. There was no significant difference of age, gender, job variable, BMI and energy-protein intake between adequate and inadequate hemodialysis patients. There was a significant difference in income level education level nutrition knowledge and albumin serum level between adequate and inadequate hemodialysis patients.   Keywords: hemodialysis, nutritional status, consumption
