Abstract :

The utilization of every aspect of science and technology in competition sport have been used more than before. One aspect that has been done is by doing systemic, hollistic and partisipational approach (SHIP Approach). One of the field that can use this approach is discus throw, because of the interaction between tool (disc) and human (athlete). The expected goal is a harmony of hand's anthropometry and the size of the disc. This research was aimed to study the influence of the length of hand and the distance of the toss, in 24 students SMA Negeri 1 Kediri Tabanan. The upper extremity' antropometry of the subjects, heights and lower extremity were measured. The disc's weight and dimension, the distance of the toss were also measured. The datas are still in the process, but we expect that there will be a positive correlation between the distance and the harmony of the disk and the athlete.
