Abstract :
Agroindustrial waste has a quite high potency as the feed of ruminant animals. However, thenutritional value is low, which is characterized by the high content of crude fibre (cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin) and the low content crude protein. This research is an in-vivo experimental study on sheep aimed to analyse the quality of agroindustrial waste after a fermentation using lignocellulolytic enzymes to determine dry matter and crude protein intake. Sheep were randomly divided into three groups (control=PK0, PK1 and PK2). The sheep of the control group were fed the agroindustrial waste complete feed while the sheep of the PK1 and PK2 groups received agroindustrial waste complete feed added with 10% Lignocellulolytic bacteria, and 5% Lignocellulolytic bacteria + 5% Lignocellulolytic enzymes respectively. The result of the study showed significant differences (P<0.05) on dry matter and crude protein intake in sheep from PK1 and PK2 compared to those of the control’s. In conclusion, the addition of Lignocellulolytic bacteria and enzymes might increase dry matter and crude protein intake.
