Abstract :

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur internal dan ukuran ginjal normal kucing domestik Indonesia serta untuk mendapatkan rasio panjang ginjal normal dan diameter aorta abdominalis melalui pendekatan ultrasonografi (USG) dua dimensi. Pengamatan dilakukan pada lima ekor kucing jantan domestik Indonesia dengan bobot badan 3.0-4.0 kg dan umur 2–5 tahun. Sonogram ginjal dengan menggunakan transduser linear 7.5 MHz dilakukan setelah kucing teranastesi pada posisi pemeriksaan hewan lateral recumbency. Morfologi struktur internal ginjal berupa kapsula, korteks, dan medula dapat dibedakan dengan baik menggunakan ultrasonografi dua dimensi. Parameter kuantitatif yang diamati adalah panjang (p), lebar (l), dan tinggi (t) ginjal, lebar korteks ginjal, panjang dan tinggi medula ginjal, serta diameter aorta abdominalis. Pengukuran terhadap sonogram ginjal dilakukan dengan menggunakan software MacBiophotonics ImageJ©. Rataan pengukuran ginjal kanan adalah p = 3.92±0.30 cm, t = 2.59±0.11 cm, dan l = 2.66±0.27 cm, sedangkan untuk ginjal kiri adalah p = 3.85±0.31 cm, t = 2.62±0.31 cm, dan l = 2.72±0.18 cm. Rasio panjang maksimum ginjal dan diameter aorta abdominalis untuk ginjal kanan adalah 7.91±1.54 dan 7.76±1.38 untuk ginjal kiri. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai acuan terhadap ukuran ginjal normal kucing domestik. Melalui pendekatan ultrasonografi didapatkan juga rasio panjang ginjal dengan diameter aorta abdominalis   Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the normal kidney size of the Indonesian Domestic Cat and to define the normal ratio of kidney length and abdominal aorta diameter through two dimensional ultrasonography (USG). Ultrasonography was performed on five male cats weighing 3.0-4.0 kg and age 2–5 years old. Cats were anesthetized and USG was performed on the lateral recumbency using a 7.5 MHz linear transducer. The  internal structures morphology of kidney i.e. capsule, cortex and medulla can be clearly defined by using two dimensional USG. The quantitative parameters observed were length (l), width (w), and height (h) of the kidney, width of the cortex, length and height of the medulla, and diameter of the abdominal aorta. Measurement of the sonogram was performed using ImageJ software MacBiophotonics©. Measurement of right kidney were l = 3.92±0.30 cm, h = 2.59±0.11 cm, and w = 2.66±0.27 cm,  for left kidney were l = 3.85±0.31 cm, h = 2.62±0.31 cm, and w = 2.72±0.18 cm. The ratio of maximum length of kidneys and diameter of the abdominal aorta was 7.91±1.54 for right kidney and 7.76±1.38 for left kidney. As a conclusion, the results of this study can be used as a reference of a normal kidney size of Indonesian domestic cats. Through ultrasound approach also obtained the ratio of renal length to diameter of the abdominal aorta.
