Abstract :

The experiment was carried out to show the antibiotics resistance of Staphylococcus aureus  from mastitic cases on  four dairy herds. The first step of test was to prepare pure culture of Staphylococcus aureus. Milk samples were collected from mastitic cases at the afternoon milking time. Preparation of pure culture were confirmed by MS agar, hemolytic activity, catalase and coagulase test. Antibiotic susceptibility test showed that there were two isolates of Staphylococcus aureus which resistance for antibiotic. The majority of isolates of Staphylococcus aureus from Surabaya dairy herd were resistance against erythromicin and isolates of Staphylococcus aureus from Nongkojajar dairy herd  were resistance against  penicillin and ampicillin.
