Abstract :
There is a high incidence of early-age marriage in Madura, which is about 60% and evenlydistributed in four district. This study has the objective to analyze the impact of early-age marriage tominimize early-age marriages that occurred in Pereng Ampel Backwoods, Pamoroh village, KadurSubdistrict. The method used in this study was qualitative methods through a case study. The datasource of the research using primary data, data obtained directly through interviews with respondentsand informants. The respondents in this study were people who had been married at an early age. Thenumber of respondents 50 people by using simple random sampling method. The results showed thatthe factors motivated early-age marriage were economic factors, self stimulus, low level of education,and parents provocation.There was the need of family counseling and discussion type of socialization.The society and religion leaders need to be involved to prevent early-age marriage. The leaders shouldinform the national regulation, UU number 1 year 1974 that abide the practice of early-age marriage.
