Abstract :

Bulls with semen containing a Fertility-Associated Antigen (FAA) is to have a higher fertility rate when compared with bulls semen without FAA. This study aims to determine expression of FAA by doing isolation, identification and characterization of FAA in the semen of cows. Protein identification from the couple Cow FAA by SDS-PAGE, both derived from the sperm membrane resulted in several bands which amounts to between 6 to 13 bands. Protein identification by Western blot FAA was only on the sperm membrane that expresses only the FAA with BM 31.42 kDa.
