Abstract :

The aims of this study was to know about reproduction efficiency such as service per conception, conception rate and calving rate after artificial insemination on beef cattle in East and West district, Kabupaten East Lombok on 2012. The method to determine value of reproduction efficiency by artificial insemination was collecting primary and secondary data about number of inseminated beef cattle, number of pregnancy, number of birth, interval between birth and pregnancy and number of calving interval. Then, data were processed and presented as tabulated and charts to get service per conception, conception rate and calving rate and supported by average value. The observations showed that service per conception in East district was 1,17; conception rate was 79,45% and calving rate 49,70%. West district showed that service per conception was 1,23; conception rate was 82,66% and calving rate 66,31%. Based on data, West district was better than East district because all of the factors which influence reproduction efficiency can be controlled.
