Abstract :
Information about the distribution of data and supporting students is needed bymarketing and communications department (markom) Dr. Soetomo University(Unitomo) of Surabaya. On the other hand, the data distribution information markomstudents rely on the IT Department. To overcome these problems need to developeddata warehouse applications in order to support environmentally markkom routineactivities and faculty in promoting Unitomo to the wider community. The datawarehouse is a data set that is subject-oriented, integrated, time variant, and nonvolatilewhich helps management in decision making process. The method of data warehouse started from collecting the data needed to build adata warehouse, the next process is the star schema created, extraction and datatransformation (ETL). Data extraction is the process of selecting the data to be insertedinto the data warehouse. Once the transformation is done, the data is inserted into thedata warehouse. Existing data in the data warehouse with OLAP processed (OnlineAnalytical Processing) to produce information. The purpose of a data warehouse is to provide early information to markom inconducting an analysis of the distribution of the data’s student performance is measuredand in accordance with the scheme or plan that you want to work in the promotion forthe next year.
