Abstract :

The schizotypal personality can be thought of as spanning a continuum from healthy to pathological, where in the schizotypal personality style is closer to the healthy end and the schizotypal personality is on the pathological end.  Schizotypal personality disorder is a disorder that is genetically related to schizophrenia.  Schizotypal personality disorder clinically characterized by traits: ideas of reference, excessive social anxiety, magical thinking, unusual perceptual experiences, eccentric behavior or appearance, no close or a trusted  friends, speaking  strange, restricted affect, and having  a suspicion. There is a similar picture of Schizoid Personality Disorder and Avoidant Personality Disorder with Schizotypal Personality Disorder, but its intensity is greater. In the development of this both personality disorder  is naturally formed structural subtypes variations, which may be a combination of  these  or not, these are: Insipid Schizotypal  and Timorous Schizotypal. Management of Schizotypal personality disorder is very difficult, where the success is highly dependent on the severity of the  thinking process disruption. Psychotherapy combined with medication  will likely prove to be the most effective treatment.
