Abstract :

This research aims to describe Indonesian dan Javanese vocabulary acquisition of lightweightcategory of retarded children at the age of 9 years old. The subjects are students of SDLB-CAlpa Kumara Wardhana II Surabaya. The results show that these children use Indonesian andJavanese langunge in their communication. Moreover, in communicating, they tend to use nounin Indonesian language and verb in Javanese language more frequent than the other wordclasses.
